In this fun and fast-paced workshop you will learn to create beautiful and technically sound pebble mosaic slabs. There will be an emphasis on permanence and structural integrity.
Participants will make two projects: an indirect pre-cast slab pebble mosaic and a direct technique pebble mosaic project.
You will learn how to sort, fit, and lay pebbles and other suitable materials for exterior use in freeze/thaw climate. Various artistic and design considerations will be presented. Workshop will include instruction and lecture on issues such as site selection and preparation (grade, slope, water runoff), and maintenance issues.
Your finished slabs can be placed in your garden, or by creating multiple units you can form an entire walkway.
Supply fee includes everything you will need and Deb will truck the pebble selection from Connecticut! Lots of handouts, lecture and plenty of time for questions and answers.
