Workshop Description

In this three-day workshop students use traditional and non-traditional mosaic and fine art techniques to understand facial and body structure, cross contour, highlights, color, gradation, value and types of shadows. You will also learn to mix glass values and color to define planes (hills & valleys) of the anatomy and how to use color most effectively with professional artist tricks taught. There will be a demonstration and you will begin work on a life-like, 12" x 12" from your chosen photograph.

Instruction will be given for background and negative spaces and no question will be left unanswered. You will learn how to "see" things differently by developing an eye for mosaic. Discussions on presenting your work to gallery owners, exhibitions, building a resume, pricing and photographing your mosaic art will also be included. This is unique opportunity to study with a master!
